If articles and news reports of the day cause you to question what the Church teaches about the beginning of Life, be assured that the Church supports the Life we have been given by God. Here in the words of the Magisterium (the Bishops of the Church) is the clear wording of that teaching:
~~~The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law” (No. 2271).
